Meeting Minutes
Call to Order: A meeting of the Bucks County Consortium was held at Doylestown Township on June 5, 2008 and called to order by Mr. Tieperman at 9:30 a.m.

Approval of Minutes - May 1, 2008
Mr. Tieperman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Davis, to approve the Minutes of 1 May 2008. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report and Payment of Bills
Mrs. Bell presented the Treasurer’s Report for the months of April and May 2008. A motion was made by Ms. Bell and seconded by Mr. Tieperman, to approve the Treasurer’s Reports for April and May 2008. Motion carried.
Presentation: Todd Pejack and John Lundsted of PADEP to discuss Act 175 and Act 140
Todd Pejack, Environmental Group Manager and John Lundsted, Solid Waste Specialist of PADEP spoke to the Consortium about two pieces of legislation and how they interrelate with Act 101, including Section 902- Recycling Grant and Section 904- Recycling Performance Grants. It was explained that Act 140 places specific requirements on municipal eligibility to obtain financial assistance with their recycling programs while Act 175 outlines the intent to make recycling programs self efficient. Mr. Lundsted answered several questions from the Consortium members during his presentation.

Presentation: Tom Hough of Hough Associates to discuss performance grant audits and matching municipalities for joint applications
Tom Hough of Hough Associates gave a brief summary of the grant audits that are being conducted with PADEP and how his office is working diligently with PADEP to get them the information that is needed. He explained that his office has reevaluated their system and set up a process to prevent this from happening again in the future.
Community Updates
Mr. Tieperman announced that the annual Bucks County Consortium Picnic will be held on Friday, July 11 th at Peace Valley Park.

Mr. Tieperman made a motion, seconded by Ms. Mason, to adjourn the meeting at 10:50 a.m. Motion carried.
