Meeting Minutes

Call to Order: A meeting of the Bucks County Consortium was held at Warwick Township on February 7, 2008 and called to order by Mrs. Weniger.

Roll Call and Introductions: The following Bucks County communities were represented at the meeting:

Nomination Committee

Mrs. Weniger asked the membership for a nomination for the Bucks County Consortium President for 2008. A motion was made by Mr. Shapiro and seconded by Mr. Olpere to nominate Mr. Tieperman of Warrington Township. Motion carried.

Mr. Tieperman asked the membership for a nomination for the Bucks County Consortium 1 st and 2 nd Vice-President for 2008. A motion was made by Mr. Fournier and seconded by Mrs. Klepfer to nominate Mr. Czajkowski for 1 st Vice-President and Mr. Pellegrino for 2 nd Vice-President. Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes - November 1, 2007

Mr. Olpere made a motion, seconded by Mr. Granger, to approve the Minutes of 1 November 2007. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report

Mrs. Bell presented the Treasurer’s Report for the month of November 2007. A motion was made by Mrs. Weniger and seconded by Mr. Granger, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for November 2007. Motion carried.

Membership Admission – Bedminster Township
Mr. Shapiro informed the membership that in September of 2007 the Consortium received a membership application for Bedminster Township. A motion was made by Mr. Czajkowski and seconded by Mr. Granger to approve the membership application. Motion carried.

Presentation: Grant, loan programs, and other services provided by the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services by Marita Kelley

Marita Kelley who is a Local Government Policy Specialist for the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services, Department of Community and Economic Development, presented. Mrs. Kelley provided the membership with a PowerPoint presentation titled “Who We Are and What We Do.” She began her presentation with an overview of the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services. Her discussion then was outlined as follows: a profile of Pennsylvania, publications for municipalities, training that is available, technical assistance program, intergovernmental cooperation, financial assistance, shared municipal services grant program, land use planning and technical assistance program, and the local government capital projects loan program.

Adjourn Mr. Czajkowski made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Weniger, to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 AM. Motion carried.
