Meeting Minutes
A meeting of the Bucks County Consortium was held at Hilltown Township, on May 1, 2003. The following individuals were present:

Preliminary Remarks
John Cornelius called the meeting to order and announced the morning's agenda.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Paul Williams, and seconded by Eileen Bradley, to approve the Minutes of 3 April 2003. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report
The Treasurer's Report for April 2003 was presented. Haycock Township, a new member, paid dues for 2003. Upon a motion by Jeff Vey, seconded by Stephanie Mason, the Treasurer's report of April 2003 was unanimously approved.
Presentation: “Disaster Management”
John Dougherty, Bucks County Emergency Management Coordinator, and Anthony Camillocci, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Eastern Regional Coordinator, presented. Included in their presentation were the following disaster management topics: municipal roles and responsibilities, terrorism task forces, the Office of Homeland Security, recent disaster declarations, incident response, resource allocation, training, etc.
Presentation: “Computer Network Administration”
Jay Sklarow presented. Included in his presentation were the following topics: network and workstation functionality, storage management, virus protection, frequently encountered problems, licensing, etc.
Membership: Haycock Township
John Cornelius reported that ballots were sent to all members, and that more than 2/3 of the members have approved Haycock Township’s membership.
Membership: Classification (Associate Membership)
John Cornelius reviewed revisions to the Bucks County Consortium’s “Articles of Agreement”. Members were asked to review the proposed revisions of May, 2003.
New & Old Business
Ron Bednar, DCED, reported on a land use and technical assistance grant, and stated that anyone with questions on land development, etc. can contact him at 215.560.2259.
John Cornelius reported on the “2003 Bucks County Consortium – Wage and Salary Survey.” He stated that in 2003 there was good participation, and that copies have been distributed.
Bruce Townsend reported on the status of Northampton Township’s police contract, and thanked those members participating in a police benefits survey.
John Cornelius informed the membership on the status of a Summer picnic & announced that the guest speaker in June would be Andy Warren of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Adjourn
John Cornelius thanked Hilltown Township for hosting the meeting, and reported that the next meeting of the Bucks County Consortium would be held at Doylestown Township.
The meeting adjourned without motion.
